DTN COMMENTS: The country is slow to start this morning, following light to
moderate trade on Wednesday and a light scattered trade in the North on
Thursday (live deals mostly 114.00-115.00, and mostly 175.00 dressed). While
it looks like business in Kansas and Texas is essentially done for the week,
it is possible that Nebraska and Iowa will need to trade more cattle today.
Asking prices on cattle left on showlists are around 118.00 in the South,
and 178.00 plus in the North. Beef cutouts are expected to be higher with
light to moderate box movement.

NOTE: Feedlots are encouraged to call DTN with any cattle sales, at
1-800-369-7675, 1-402-399-6402, or 1-402-462-8897. All sales will be listed
anonymously and organized by state. General trends and summaries from this
data will be posted on the Daily Sales Reported to DTN page.
